fact: when I say I'm going to do certain things, it doesn't always mean that I will do it exactly.
I wish that were different about me, but alas, it is not. Between class, work and life in general it's been pretty hectic and lately I've been needing some kind of outlet to use to just unwind every so often. I've picked up a new habit in the form of journaling. Not blogging journaling but journaling journaling using a Moleskine (!!!) and Prismacolor markers to be specific. I haven't put quite this much effort into something in quite awhile (I'm still searching for the perfect fine tipped, inky black pen) nor has a pastime actually become something that I look foward to doing as much as I do with journaling. There's something about it that is very soothing and I just get sucked into the whole process. It feels much more private than blogging (obviously) but there's something wonderful about seeing your thoughts in your own handwriting rather than grabbing my computer and typing up things. Sure it isn't as convenient and not nearly as fast but I think it makes it that much better.
I would highly recommend Moleskines as journals or really for pretty much anything (I also use a Moleskine planner) but I like the looks of them. Very basic, all black. Simple and streamlined is how I like them. Though I am lusting after one of the new limited red ones, which I will probably pick up to use as a backup once I'm through with the one that I am using now. Which at this rate, won't be very long at all.
